I think I have seen this one before but can't find an old ad on it. Comes with AMG door wood, AMG gen II steering wheel, full US body kit with gen II side skirts and some kind of recaros. Appears the owner is not familiar with what he has. Love the 6.0 badge (could it be?).

I Dig!
I thought the 6.0 was the hammer engine or stamp motor, engine swap???
and this engine looks stock to me. 5.6L unless AMG made M117 6.0 that looks like this motor?
I don't know. but i would like to here some information in regards to the 6.0 amg engine? some one educate me;)
there calling them hammers now or hammer engines.
amg or not, that SEL is very nice under 50K miles.
maybe big AL can go check it out and get the low down on it;)

"Hammer" was a termed coined by a writer of Car & Driver magazine in article about a 1986 W124 32V AMG. The term stuck and has been abused since.
A "Hammer" is a W124 equipped with an AMG 32V 5L, 5.6L or 6L engine.
AMG offered SOHC M117 6L's and look just like a 5.6L, can only be verified by documentation and/or measuring cylinder bore.

Hammer = DOHC 6L
Mallet = SOHC 6L (informal, tongue in-cheek)
Interesting bits. Paperwork though or it didn't happen. The speedo is wrong (420-style 160MPH).

Very interesting car, worth a check for anyone near by. However there are some red flags about this car, some things already mentioned. The car is advertised as a 1989 and has the 1989+ interior door inserts and rear seats. 1989+ 560's should ALL have passenger airbags.
Yes, the speedo as bondavi pointed out is not for a 560, so mileage is unknown at this point. The AMG kit is correct and rare, although personally its not my top preference (US spec). The rear shelf looks odd, but it could just be the rear passenger feet wedges placed back there. I'd like to see a close up of the "6.0" badge, but it may be "homemade".
To add to whats been said about the 6L M117, they were also found in 560SL's besides the W124 and W126 already mentioned.

Well, whatever it "truly" is, it is definite that the owner doesn't have a clue. The ad states it is a 6 cylinder coupe, lol. I think Alydon needs to go do a personal check on this one. He would flip if it was real, and in his backyard, and he missed it.

The W124 four door sedan "Hammer" reviewed in that 1986 issue of Car & Driver was a 5.6L DOHC.

Well, my 500SEL was just like that... all show but no go.
An interesting tid-bit, the 14-piece door wood retailed for $3975 in 1988.
