Wow. Gorgeous car. Just when my wife decides she wants to dump her R129 SL320 and buy a 2012 Shelby GT-500 for $50k, this comes on the market. Sigh.

AL: WifeBody > WideBody

edit: (">" as in "better" than, as opposed to "wider" than...... just wanted to make sure nothing gets misinterpreted here :D )

I posted the AMG papers but the resolution is an issue even on BW. I emailed 48hp the originals.

That's pretty cryptic :D

here's a sampling of what was observed to be type-over's (or in other words, "alterations" done to a set of papers seemingly for a different car:

If Kyle (or whomever Kyle bought the car from) altered docs knowing that AMG can't or won't verify a car as authentic would really be low. I have never seen AMG refer to a W126 or W124 Hammer 6.0 SOHC/DOHC as "600"; Chrom-Silber is not an MB paint color (unless it is a custom AMG paint color); the fonts are different size and style. Also, the AMG workorder has the burlwood interior upgrades (door wood) - the eBay car has zero burlwood except for the non-AMG steering wheel, the workorder says they installed a refrigerator in the back seat - stock rear seats in the eBay car, the workorder says the car has a 2.65 diff - no mention in the eBay auction. And so forth. For a 40km car in that beautiful condition, no way the paperwork is for that car.

Beautiful car (except for the steeting wheel, which is an easy fix), though. Wonder what it finally sold for...

Al, a Euro spec 560 would automatically come with a 2.65 diff. If AMG did modify it, they may have placed a GT into it. Yes, it does look odd to have a low mileage car with some missing pieces that was said to have been there at some point.

Yikes

Low but not surprising or uncommon if it's true. As most of us know it's been going on in the muscle car game for years.

"Wait... What??! That's not really a Hemi car? It was a what? A 318???!!!"

Good news, these rare AMG cars seem to be increasing in value. Bad news, that opens the door to what may have happened here
