Sorry, but you're missing the best one of all:
(reposted reply from the 560 SEC AMG post)
What is it? It's possibly the only widebody W126 AMG sedan ever made: A 1983 540SE with a manual transmission. The specs, as best as I recall:
- 5.4L Bored, stroked, ported, polished, balanced and blueprinted AMG motor (with AMG cams, mechanical lifters instead of the usual hydraulics, etc) based on a euro 5.0L
- Getrag 5 speed manual transmission with double disc racing clutch and Torsen rear end.
- adjustable suspension (shock adjustment via dash switch)
- the only known widebody W126 sedan ever made, it had a full SEC front clip, SEC rear trim, full leather (dash, headliner, etc), monster Sony stereo, etc.
This was an AMG euro show car that was brought to their US HQ in Chicago after its euro tour. It was bought by my dad's business partner in 1984, and later bought by my dad, who later sold it to a friend of mine's father, who still owns it (in western Michigan).
