5.0 HAMMER W124 1985C 45,000 miles, blue black metallic, grey leather interior, air conditioning, Recaro seats, believed one of only 2 UK RHD AMG Hammers, fitted with 5.0 AMG quad cam version of Mercedes V8 engine, this car is also one of the earlies supplied RHD 124s, AMG Hammers are very rare desireable cars which featured in many Worlds Fastest Cars Books of the 80s, the fastest saloon car in the world for many years, opportunities dont come much rarer than this.
Probably the only remaining RHD Hammer.
This was the first brought into the UK by Stratton's and was used initially as their press car.
Previously owned by Martin Traynor and featured in the August 2007 Mercedes Enthusiast magazine.
The second was owned by Jeff Lynne of ELO ( Electric Light Orchestra ) and was written off many years ago.
Talbir if I recall bought the Harrison/Lynne Hammer at an auction in 2008.
The one currently listed is the only remaining RHD Hammer and has been for sale for some time.

No, the Harrison Hammer is currently owned by Talbir and AFAIK is not nor was it ever for sale since he purchased it. The above one was the one that was restored by a BW member "Vlad" or something along those lines. Talbir's Hammer was a 5.4 I thought and has black burlwood trim and a different interior as the one shown above.

So this is the Martin Traynor example and the Jeff Lynne of ELO Hammer was not written off? Or is the Lynne example, not the same as the Harrison Hammer.
