Authentic Documented Pre-Merger Wide Body / Service Records / German Import

One of the most iconic and celebrated Pre-Merger AMG builds, is the wide body C126 SEC conversion. The AMG wide body provided the beautiful Mercedes-Benz grand tourer with a needed muscular appearance that was both elegant and sportive at the same time and could complement the performance additional equipment available a-la-carte for this car at Affalterbach.
Samples of wide-body C126’s have reached up to $800K in value at public sales lately, depending on equipment, mileage and documentation.
This authentic AMG car was delivered new in Germany in 1988 and then was commissioned to have AMG supply a full optics package including a Wide Body conversion and AMG OZ three-piece Aero wheels to match the body. Wide-Body and wheels are subsequently accompanied with law required manufacturer certificate (AMG) and road worthy certification issued by DEKRA for TüV.
Exterior is in excellent condition, showing the black finish amazingly and accentuating the beautiful lines. Gaps and fitment is consistent and arrow straight all around. AMG markings are visible on the body for additional evidence of originality, which was also witnessed by Classic Benz guru Pierre Hedary during an inspection. Body also enjoys a mid-life full respray and refresh. AMG Aeros are beautiful with centers finished in body color and high polished lips. The car is a bold statement from every corner.
Interior is stunning and original, showing very good care from its past caregiver. Leather is soft and seats are comfortable as expected from a Mercedes flagship. Wood paneling is in very good shape, considering the age, showing only a few blemishes.
M117 5-liter V8 engine seems to be original as well as the 722.35 transmission, both operating very well, as expected from a car that was certified by the strict German Government to be road worthy until the date it was exported to the US in 2021.
