A '88 with the DOHC 3.2 swap from a later car. That's all. Interesting.

It sure is red. Godawful wheels.. But apparently the seller values them as his ad suggests he will knock $1000 of if the buyer brings his own.

It's an '88 but appears to have had a "facelift" with '94-95 grill / hood / lights

I prefer the later-model grill and hood treatment, but some like the more 'stately' earlier style with the larger grill with more chrome

(BTW, Bondavi -- I don't think amgtony is the seller...)

Hello,
Its time for my Mercedes to go. Please read the full add, before asking questions. The car needs some work. #1 I can NOT confirm nor Deny that it is a true AMG, The car does have the AMG body kit, The car does have the DOHC engine, and the air bag was replaced in 1994 indicated on door jam. it is a 1988 300CE and pre 1991 you have to have the original paperwork from AMG, as mercedes took over AMG in 1991.
That being said, the car at minimum needs a Head Gasket, I personally think it needs a head but who am I. I also think it would be easier, cheaper, and better in the long run to install a used motor in it. The seats also need recovered, they are the tan leather. The car has nice 20's, and the tires are like new. The car would be worth 6500 all day long with the engine and seats repaired even if its not a true AMG, However, if you can prove that this is the AMG your looking at 25K. Even if you dont do the work yourself, a used engine, install and seats recovered for 2k your still ahead. The car will run, but would rather not as it just dumps coolant out of the exhaust
I would also take 3K if you bring your own wheels and I keep the wheels and tires on it, you actually only need 3 as there is one in the trunk. I am slightly negotiable, and would consider trades mixed with cash, I like cool toys, and dont worry about running or not.
