I am back from Nashville TN! Did the drive in 12 hours. The car was parked for a while [light use for a year] before i took the trip but held up well.
Immediate things to fix:
1. Ball joints and tie rods - car wandered terribly, was told it was a steering box. It was a combo of 45 psi in the tires and a blown ball joint on the drivers side.
2. Sticky calipers - Drivers side front caliper was sticking creating hairy high speed braking.
3. Tune up - Most likely resistor plugs installed and incorrect wires causing a miss.
Coming from a us 560, this euro m117.963 is a beast, even with a miss. No problem cruising at 80 mph. AMG Suspension mods kept this car stable at high speed. Steering and braking was iffy due to sticky caliper and blown ball joint so could not comment on cornering
Cosmetic issues:
-The car has rust which originated at the cladding screw holes on the drivers fender and both doors. - replacement metal sourced
-The car has a delaminated rear window, no rust in package tray - replacement window sourced
-Trunk by badge holes has rust - replacement sourced
-Interior wood peeled - Need to source
The car looks mean!!!! Drove in Manhattan for a steak dinner, took potholes and dips with no issues. No scrubbing or rubbing. Perfect height.
