... and a couple of rather dirty 2.3-16 / Evo 2 examples spotted at the headquarters of Carlsson in Merzig, Germany (in the Saarland), which I visited circa 2007...

If this is a real Evo, it would be an exceedingly rare car in the USA. It's most likely a factory body-kit, added after the fact, though, perhaps on a regular US-spec 2.3-16 "valver" as I call them.

Unfortunately, the chromed AMG wheels take away a bit of appeal from this example, but this defect is rather easily fixable.

Here are a couple of examples or non-US Evos that I saw at the headquarters of tuner Väth, in Hosbach, Germany (outside of Aschaffenburg, near Frankfurt) a few years ago.

I'd rather have that real AMG widebody at 4.5K, and spend the other 5 grand on engine mods; then this one where he spent so much to do the EVO bodykit, but didn't use the right wheels, or even copies of the right wheels.
