Mercedes AMG Classic

The Gen I dog ear has a contour/relief for the euro gen I bumper rib. So without modification, don't think that would make sense. Gen II euro lip spoiler or a modified sedan non-dog ear spoiler might fit the bill. keep us posted.

Being that this is a transition car (Gen2 with Gen1 bodykit) I'm still trying to figure out what front lip spoiler would be correct for the car - did AMG mix Gen2 spoilers with Gen1 skirts, or strictly go with dog ear spoilers even on a Gen2 car?

I was fortunate to jump through hoops and get a hold of [i]Triumph[/i] heavy metal drummer Gil Moore from Canada who has reached out to me today - previous owner of this AMG. Nice guy!

He's currently recovering from laryngitis, but will be back in touch soon to catch up on the history/documentation on this car.

Car had been stored in Canada while import paperwork was being worked out and is now on its way into California...

If you look closely, not a 1985 but its a Gen2 1986 500SEC. Note the E/S shifter switch, later fuel/cold start system,. and climate controls.

Formerly owned by Gil Moore, drummer of the band Triumph. The car has just been purchased by a good friend of mine and is on its way to California.

Love the Gen1'ness of this Gen2 car. BTW it was an early 9/85 build car, so as we all know Chicago AMG's policies at the time....it got a mix of parts.

There was a BW thread on it back in 2011 when someone else was looking into it.

I will update when it is here and a closer look...and yes a California BAR sticker inspection and emissions is on par and ready. The car should then become a CA resident then.
