PM's sitting in Outbox?

What does this mean when PM's sit in the Outbox for days at a time?

I've PM'd a couple people as well as 48hp, and they're sitting in Outbox.
Oh well, for those that PM'd, you can send me over at Benzworld.

Thanks for your patience. The PM remain in your outbox until the recipient has read the PM.
